Building an airplane may be less about the skill of building and more about the skill of organizing. Time, resources, but most especially, tiny little parts. And so I have found my dream hobby. My label maker and I are in heaven.

This is the start of the rivet and hardware organization system. A place for everything and everything in its place. I have two more of these storage bins on their way from Amazon right now.
For the foreseeable future, we will not be eating off the dining room table in my house. It has been coopted for hardware organization at least for the next two weeks. I am not driving a single rivet until all the tiny little pieces are labeled and in their boxes.
I have been slowly pre-reading the first instructions. They are so well written. I would encourage anyone looking at building to look very hard at the Van’s 14. The instructions plus the precision manufacturing of the parts is dreamy.
The only thing missing here is a collection of several label makers so I could color code. Hmmm.
