Officially instrument rated!

Wow. They say the private pilot certificate is a license to learn. If that is true, the instrument rating is 100 times that. While I am very relieved to have this behind me, I am not even close to being where I need to be to comfortably fly in the clouds. But I am on my way.

Darrel Dilley is an amazing DPE and an even better human. I am so lucky to have people like him in my life. He was very tough on me today and I deserved it. I am looking forward to flying with him to work on the deficits I still have.

At the end of the day, after all the studying, practice, screw ups, frustrations, and delays, all I can really say right now is, “Whew.”
