Looks like my wings and fuselage are just about ready for pick up. I am seriously considering a road trip to Oregon to get them and bring them home. It’s cheaper than shipping and it would get me out of my office for a few days. And right now, I really need that. Lots going on at the day job, but that’s not what this blog is for, so I will spare you all the rants and ravings of a lawyer transitioning to a mediator/flight instructor and all the craziness involved therein.
My latest progression on the plane is to pick up a few pieces from my hangar and bring them home. In very small loads. That way, I can break the project into even smaller parts than Van’s does. And I don’t have to worry about working in a cold hangar or garage. I can just bring the small pieces into my dining room. When it is warmer and I can stand to be in the elements a bit more, then I can assemble the smalls into bigs. It’s hard to rivet while wearing ski gear. Just trust me on that one.
So get ready for Steph Travels the Oregon Trail, coming soon. Hopefully with better outcomes than the usual Oregon Trail stories.
